- E-3 email (SmarterMail): start hereIf E-3 set up your business email and you sign in to a SmarterMail webmail page, the guides here are for you. First confirm which email service you're on, then pick your task: webmail and passwords, phone and computer setup, forwarding, signatures, folders, space, junk mail or errors. Never send us a password.
- Can I check my business email in Gmail?Yes, in two ways. On a phone, add your business address to the Gmail app as an IMAP account. On a computer, the reliable route now is forwarding: ask E-3 to send a copy of each new message to your Gmail. Google is ending Gmail's own POP fetching, so don't start a new setup that depends on it.
- Folders and sync on E-3 email (SmarterMail)Folders you make in E-3 webmail appear on your phone and in Outlook only when those apps connect with IMAP. If a folder is missing, the app is usually set up as POP, or isn't showing that folder yet. Before deleting an account or switching POP to IMAP, back up any mail stored only on that device.
- How do I add or change my email signature?Set your signature in each app you send from, because webmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and your phone each keep their own. In E-3 webmail it's under Settings, then Signatures. In Outlook it's under Settings, Accounts, Signatures (or File, Options, Mail in classic Outlook). Keep it short and mostly text.
- How do I forward one email address to another?Forwarding is set on the mail server or in your email account's settings, not on your phone. On E-3's own email service, ask us and we set the forward on the server. In Outlook or Gmail you turn it on under Settings. Keep a copy, test it, and use an auto-reply instead when an address is retiring.
- How do I remove an email account for someone who left?Don't delete it straight away. First stop the person signing in, then keep a copy of their mail, then forward the address to whoever takes over, or set an automatic reply. Delete the mailbox only once nothing important is left in it. On E-3 email, ask us and we do each step.
- My mailbox is full. How do I free up space?E-3's mail server has no mailbox size limit, so a "mailbox full" warning on E-3 email almost always comes from your phone or computer running out of room, not the server. Free space on the device, keep old mail safely, and call E-3 if senders get "over quota" bounces, which shouldn't happen.
- Reset your email password or sign in to webmailFor E-3 email, go to the webmail sign-in page at mail.e3webmail.com and choose "Forgot your password?" to reset it yourself, or call E-3 on 814-399-4655. Sign in with your full email address and the new password, then update it on every phone and computer. Never send a password by email.
- Set up your email in Outlook or Apple MailIn Outlook, choose File, then Add Account (or Settings, Accounts in new Outlook and on a Mac). In Apple Mail, choose Mail, then Add Account. For E-3 email, pick IMAP and use mail.e3webmail.com for both servers (port 993 in, 587 out); for Microsoft 365 or Google, sign in and the app does the rest. Then send a test both ways.
- Set up your email on an iPhone or Android phoneOn an iPhone, open Settings, Apps, Mail, Mail Accounts, then Add Account. On Android, open the Gmail app, tap your picture, then Add another account. For E-3 email choose IMAP with mail.e3webmail.com as both servers; for Microsoft 365 or Google, pick that provider and sign in. Then test both ways.
- Why can't our copier or scanner send email?Scan-to-email usually stops for one of three reasons: the copier's saved password changed, the device is too old for the encryption or sign-in the mail server needs, or its server settings are wrong. Check the device for an error, then send a test. For E-3 email, E-3 can set up an SMTP relay through mail.e3webmail.com.
