You run the business. We look after the website.
We watch your site with uptime monitoring and security alerts, test every update on a staging copy first, and keep daily backups. Ask for a change in plain English and we take care of it.
What’s included
- Uptime monitoringMonitored around the clock: we check your site every 5 minutes, and our team is alerted the moment it goes down.
- Tested updatesWordPress and plugin updates are tested on a staging copy before they touch your live site, with a backup ready, and the sites we host stay on supported PHP versions.
- Daily backupsA recent copy of your site is always on hand, so a bad day means a restore, not a rebuild.
- Security alertsSuspicious activity and failed logins are flagged in plain English, with what we did about it.
- Changes on requestAsk for a change in plain English, by phone or email, and we take care of it.

Questions people ask first
- Do I need to update WordPress plugins, and can they break my site?Yes, keep plugins updated. Many updates close security holes, and once a hole is public, automated attacks look for sites that haven't patched it. Updates do occasionally break a page or form, so the answer is to back up first and test afterward, not to skip them. Delete plugins you no longer use.
- Why does Google say my website may be harmful?Google shows a "This site may be hacked" label or a red browser warning when it finds hacked content, malware or phishing on your site. Treat it as urgent. Open the Security issues report in Search Console, clean every affected page, close the hole the attacker used, then select Request Review and explain what you fixed.
- What does website maintenance actually include?Real website maintenance covers four jobs: tested updates to WordPress, themes and plugins; backups you can actually restore; monitoring for downtime and security problems; and quick fixes and small edits. Hosting is different. It's the server your site lives on. A business site needs both, and most hosts don't do the upkeep.
Website care: common questions
- Do I need care if my site seems fine?
- A site can look fine while the software behind it falls behind. Care keeps it updated and checked on a schedule, so small issues get handled before they turn into bigger ones.
- Can an update break something?
- Occasionally an update doesn’t agree with another part of a site. That’s why updates are tested and checked, with daily backups to go back to. If our maintenance work causes a problem, fixing it is on us.
- Is care the same as hosting?
- No. Hosting runs the platform your site lives on. Care handles software updates, checks and help when things go wrong.
- My site is hosted somewhere else. Can you still look after it?
- Yes, if it’s a WordPress site. We can add care to sites on other hosts and quote it case by case.
