Advanced Telemetrics: a product site for engineers

Advanced Telemetrics International makes rotating telemetry and torque sensing systems for testing in automotive, aerospace and other fields. Its site organizes a large product range for engineers. E-3 hosts it and looks after it.

Advanced Telemetrics International (ATi) is based in Spring Valley, Ohio, and has been making non-contact measurement systems since 1989. Its rotating telemetry systems carry data from spinning shafts and machinery to a stationary recorder. They’re used in powertrain testing in automotive, aerospace and other research and development work.

What the site has to do

ATi’s buyers are engineers. They arrive with a specific measurement problem, often a shaft, a speed and a signal, and they need to find the right product family quickly, check whether it fits, and talk to someone who understands the application. The site has to organize a large, technical product range clearly, without dumbing it down.

What’s on the site

  • A clean homepage hero with a torque sensor and readout, the line “Engineering the future of non-contact sensing since 1989”, and a “View our products” button.
  • The three main product families up front: rotating telemetry systems, wireless torque sensor systems and torsional acceleration measurement systems.
  • A featured video and a short company story.
  • A list of specialist product lines, including prop shaft and half shaft telemetry, flex-plate torque sensing, multi-channel and multiplexing systems, and aircraft propeller and rotor blade strain measurement.
  • A calculators page for engineers.
  • A top bar with the phone number, a contact link, a “Schedule a consultation” link and a language selector.
  • About and contact pages, with the full address and phone and fax numbers.

The look is technical and tidy: white and light blue, product photography on clean backgrounds, and a short main menu of five items. Specialist detail lives one click down, on the product pages, where an engineer expects to find it.

What E-3 did

E-3 designed and built the site. E-3 hosts ATi’s site on managed WordPress hosting and looks after it under a maintenance plan. Our monitoring checks the site for available updates and known plugin vulnerabilities, so we can catch issues early, ideally before engineers looking for a product notice anything.

The site runs on WordPress with the Genesis framework and the Dynamik child theme, with pages built in Beaver Builder. WooCommerce is installed alongside them, so the product range sits on a commerce-ready base.
