- Why are my business emails going to spam? Most often your domain is missing, or has broken, the records that prove mail really comes from you: SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Other causes are a website form sending as your address, a shared server with a poor reputation, or messages that look like bulk mail. Fix the records first, then test with Gmail and Outlook.
- Someone is sending fake emails as me. What do I do?First rule out a hacked mailbox: change your password from a trusted device, turn on two-step sign-in, and look for forwarding rules and sent messages you didn't create. If your email administrator's check also comes back clean, someone is spoofing your address. A DMARC policy on your domain, backed by SPF and DKIM, is the lasting fix.
- What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?They are three DNS records on your domain that prove your email is really from you. SPF lists the services allowed to send for your domain. DKIM adds a signature receivers can check. DMARC tells inboxes what to do when a message fails those checks, and can send you reports about who is using your domain.
