End-of-life tracker
When the software behind your website and office stops getting security fixes, and what to do about it.
End of life means the maker has stopped fixing a piece of software, including its security holes. This tracker lists the versions small businesses most often run, when each stops or stopped getting fixes, what to do about it, and the official source for every date. We check every row each month.
- Supported gets security fixes
- Ending soon fixes stop within about a year, or have no promised date
- Ended no more fixes from the maker

What do I do with this?
- Find what you run: your site’s PHP, WordPress and database versions (see how to check), and each office computer’s system.
- Anything marked Ended: plan the upgrade or replacement now.
- Anything marked Ending soon: put a date in the diary before the end date.
- For the background, read what end of life means and why updates matter.
How does E-3 handle this?
E-3 keeps the sites it hosts on supported PHP versions. Monitoring tracks each hosted site’s PHP version, waiting updates and known plugin vulnerabilities, and on sites we look after, updates are tested on a staging copy first, with daily backups and security alerts. Office computers and phones are outside what we look after.
Dates are as published by each maker on the last-checked date and can change. Microsoft lists its dates in Pacific Time. Apple doesn’t publish end dates, so its rows show which versions got the latest fixes.
