Starpower: a national talent competition site
Starpower is a national talent and dance competition, part of DanceOne. Its site carries the season schedule, nationals, registration, rules and live stream. E-3 hosts it and looks after it.

Starpower describes itself as a national talent competition, a stage where dancers and performers of all ages and levels come together to show their artistry. It’s one of the DanceOne family of competitions, and its footer lists the Star Dance Alliance at 851 Bellbrook Avenue in Xenia, Ohio. Each season runs from regional events through a set of nationals at venues such as the Hershey Lodge, the Branson Convention Center and the Walt Disney World Dolphin.
What the site has to do
Competition families plan months ahead. Studio owners need dates, venues, rules and registration. Parents want the schedule and results. Performers want to see themselves in the photos. The site has to put all of that within one or two clicks, and it has to look like a big night out, because that’s what the event is.
What’s on the site
- A full-width, high-energy hero with the season schedule button front and center.
- “Registration now open” and “Join the Starpower team” calls to action beside the hero.
- Nationals listed by city, each with dates, venue and a link to more information.
- Pages for schedule and results, registration, rules, live stream, the shop and program sales.
- An Our Mission section and an Instagram feed.
- A #DanceFamily sign-up form, with a clear note that joining means emails from all DanceOne companies.
- A booking link so studio owners can talk to a client relations rep about their registration or the rules.
What E-3 did
E-3 designed and built the site. E-3 hosts Starpower on managed WordPress hosting and looks after it under DanceOne’s maintenance plan with us. Our monitoring checks it for available updates and known plugin vulnerabilities.
Starpower’s site is built differently from most of the DanceOne tour sites. It uses the Stockholm theme with the WPBakery page builder and Slider Revolution, where the convention sites use Genesis and Beaver Builder. Part of looking after a family of sites is knowing each one’s setup and testing updates against it, rather than assuming one size fits all.
