DanceOne: the hub for a family of dance events

DanceOne brings together a group of dance conventions, competitions and nationals, from Jump and RADIX to Starpower and The Dance Awards. Its site is the front door to all of them. E-3 hosts and looks after it.

DanceOne unites a group of dance conventions, competitions and events under one roof. Its homepage says the shared mission is fostering the integrity of dance as a joyful form of self-expression. Its footer lists the whole family: tours such as Ovation, Jump, Nuvo, 24 Seven, RADIX, KĀOS, Starpower, NexStar, Revolution, Believe, Imagine and DreamMaker; events such as DancerPalooza, PowerPak, The DanceOne Summit, WILD, the World Dance Championship and the World Dance Pageant; and two nationals, The Dance Awards and THE ONE Nationals. DanceOne is based in Hollywood, California.

What the site has to do

DanceOne’s site has a different job from the tour sites. Families looking for a specific event usually go straight to that event’s site. The DanceOne site has to explain the bigger picture: who DanceOne is, what’s in the family, and where to go next. It also has to speak to press, partners and people looking for jobs.

What’s on the site

  • A rotating homepage hero with a “Secure your spot” message and the logos of the touring conventions.
  • A short mission statement.
  • “The latest from DanceOne”: a scrolling list of news and press coverage, each linked to the original source.
  • A video section introducing the competitions, conventions and events.
  • A footer directory of every tour, event and nationals, so any of them is one click away.
  • Pages for tours, nationals, events, schedule, about, careers, contact and the shop.
  • A mailing list sign-up.

What E-3 did

E-3 designed and built the site. E-3 hosts the DanceOne site on managed WordPress hosting and looks after it under DanceOne’s maintenance plan with us. The same plan covers the wider family of DanceOne sites that E-3 hosts, including Jump, RADIX, 24 Seven, Starpower, Nexstar and the World Dance Championship. Our monitoring checks each one for available updates and known plugin vulnerabilities.

The DanceOne site uses its own custom theme, with page-builder content from both Beaver Builder and Elementor. Knowing which tools each site uses is part of the job when a single client has this many sites.
