How we review
Every guide passes the same checks before it’s published, and again whenever the tool it covers changes.
- Sources firstSteps come from the vendor’s own help pages, read on the review date. Sources are listed on the page.
- Checked by a personSomeone at E-3 follows the steps and checks every button name and limit.
- Independent reviewA second, independent AI review checks accuracy, usefulness, honesty, plain language, structure and accessibility against a written rubric. Every finding is fixed or answered.
- Plain languageShort sentences, about an eighth-grade reading level, and no filler. An automated check catches hype words and repeated text.
- Spot-checkedLarry or Micah spot-checks a sample of every batch before it goes live.
- Re-checkedWhen a vendor changes a tool, and at least yearly. The “last reviewed” date shows the latest check.
